The House of Science in Tauranga aim to get all children involved and interested in science by offering innovative and hands on learning resources to children from all socio-economic groups in the wider Tauranga area.
They received $6,025 to purchase a set of programmable Floor Robots (Blue Bots) to include in a new educational kit to be used to introduce children and young people to innovative technology.
The new ‘bots will not only raise the children’s understanding of programming and get them actively thinking and problem solving but will provide many children with access to robots and programming who otherwise would not have had such an opportunity.
