September 2017 Recipients
WAI is a collective of women making art as a response to experiences of violence and abuse. They have received $2,011.94 to purchase new art supplies including a printmaking press, paper, rollers and ink.
WAI provides support to women who have experienced violence and abuse. The supportive environment helps give the women a voice as well as helps to facilitate discussion.
The collective will hold an exhibition in November where the new supplies will be utilised to create a body of artwork for display.
