With increased screen time and more pressure on children to be in structured activities, the Ellerslie Toy Library has recognised the increasing importance of encouraging children to explore creativity and learn through play.
The Library received $1,899.93 to purchase new toys that will help develop the children’s ability to solve problems, creativity and refine motor skills.
It hopes to grow its range of toys to cater for children of all needs, with a focus on toys that promote balance and coordination, particularly important for children with special needs.
