September 2018 Recipients
The Mountains to Sea Conservation Trust received $9,165.10 to purchase new boogie boards, masks, snorkels, and photography equipment for their Auckland based, Experiencing Marine Reserves (EMR) programme.
EMR is a programme that teaches marine education in the community through experiential learning, namely by taking tamariki and whanau out in the ocean to snorkel.
Since 2002, the Trust has taken 63,604 people snorkelling from the Far North down to Otago.
