The Islip family received $11,280 to purchase a spa pool for their son, Lachlan, who has Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy.
Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy is a genetic disorder characterised by progressive muscle degeneration and weakness.
Lachlan often experiences a significant level of pain that interferes with his and his family’s sleep.
The spa pool will provide relief from the pain Lachlan lives with by relaxing his muscles and reducing his level of discomfort.
