Martin Faulkner received $1,000 to purchase an anemometer (wind meter). It will be installed at Pine Harbour Marina to record wind direction and speed, allowing his local kite surfing group access to key information remotely.
The anemometer will allow them to analyse the safety of the weather conditions before they head out.
