The Matuku Reserve Trust Board is an NGO who works towards continued care of the wetlands in the Waitakare to ensure easy accessibility for the public whilst protecting the native bush and trees. The trust received a grant of $1,095 towards the purchase of a chainsaw and the FoxPro – a playback tool which enables the monitoring of trapping and baiting to aid in the removal of possums, rats, stoats, weasels and ferrets.
